State of the County Health Report

Conducting a community assessment of health and human services is an ongoing process that engages diverse agencies, providers, and individuals in identifying community assets and strengths, as well as unmet needs. Leadership for this collaborative process is provided by the Cabarrus Health Alliance through Healthy Cabarrus. The State of the County Health Reports (SOTCH) are produced on interim years and summarize key health indicators related to illness, death, and high-risk behaviors for that particular year. Each annual report, serves as an update to the previous years SOTCH and the most recent Community Needs Assessment. Information provided within the 2021-2023 reports are specific to the identified priority health issues: housing, behavioral health and early childhood education. As mentioned above, each report also highlights mortality and morbidity data, as well as emerging issues and new initiatives.
